Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18th, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix's athletic talent was apparent from the time she began her studies at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of the first time she tried, she was second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. The following year, Felix won her debut Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making the world junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for the 200m race. The title was upheld the following year, by beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently at the top of the podium in all her competitions in the Olympics which took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
